The car spotting gods were on my side this evening and I was able to get a pretty nice shot of an insane Skyline cruising through Sarasota, FL. I heard him hit full boost once and I about cried.

You can't see it, but there's a rear-mounted TV in the R33 showing a documentary of the making of a movie.

On topic Comment.
I've seen one R32 before at a show, driven there, driven home. Beautiful car. RHD and all, and it was for sale.... R33 and R32 are my favorite newer Skylines, I am in love with the Hakosuka as well.
SR20 of said R32 next to an R35
Taken with a Phone...Not the best, idk
Oppo friend pointed out this is not an R33....I mixeded them up I guess...But hell 3 Skylines in one post? I'm alright with that.

That rear end belongs to an R32.

What's funny is that the R34 (unfortunately not the R33) actually does have an on-board LCD display (all GT-Rs do) in the dash. It doesn't have a camera though.

Haha.
I never knew that about the R34....Is it just for the radio, or some sort of multi display type thingy?*
*Sorry if my Technical terms throw some of you off..

It's exactly called a "multi-function display" it had a G-meter, lap timer, intake and exhaust temperature gauge, and boost controller. Apparantely there were a lot of aftermarket hacks too, so it could display much more information. The R35's version is just an extended iteration of that same system.

Thats pretty cool....Wouldn't really expect that in a car older like the R34 is....

Nissan put holographic displays (almost identical to the ones in the new Corvette and Camaro) in the Maxima, Skyline, and some other luxury sedans back in 1990, and had computer-adjustable dampening and suspension (along with a 5 channel bose stereo) at that time too. They had fuel injection in 1976, EFI+Turbo in 1981 (the most powerful Japanese engine at the time), a .32 drag coefficient in 1989, 4 wheel steering in 1985, and electronically-controlled differentials in the 90s.
Nissan has always been pretty high-tech and ahead of its time. The drawback is that a lot of now 20-30 year old Nissans from TONS of electrical problems, and they're a bitch to do stereo work on.

I'll have to read up on Nissan...That's impressive that they had all of that.
I know my MK 3 Supra had TEMs, back in 1989
Kind of interesting to see the technological advances that were around for the longest time and now are coming back after being on a Hiatus for a while...

The company was making cars back in the 1910s, too. Their old history is just as fascinating as their recent history.

That's my friend's Skyline. It's built by Advanced Race Technology here in Sarasota. The same shop is helping me with my 3-rotor swap into my RX-7.

It's a great car with a great owner... that sad night pic makes me sad. Deserves a better pic for greater appreciation:
